Private Seminar: Site Communications 101
Site leaders are promoted from the field. These new site leaders need to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to communicate with various project stakeholders. This course provides site leaders with hands-on training for successful communication.
Audience:
Supervisors, and Lead Hands.
Course Duration:
3-4 hours of lessons with instructor.
Education credits:
The course is eligible for 1 CCA Gold Seal education credits upon completion.
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Understanding the sender-receiver connection and why construction companies use various types of standard communication processes to avoid confusion
- Send an email and understand correct construction etiquette
- Send a text and understand correct construction etiquette
- Understand RFIs and how to prepare them
- Understanding Change Orders and tips for getting faster responses
- Make a phone call and document when applicable
- Run successful meetings and conduct and effective toolbox talk
- Prepare a Site Supervisor daily journal/diary and what to include
- Prepare a daily workplan for a crew
- Understand Gantt charts and how to read them
